dry old wooden plank (aka splinter generator)

today was better than the day of my last post. it's Monday this time and I was off work, as usual, and spent my time oscillating between listening to music and trying to focus on the task at hand. the task was cleaning my apartment. I didn't do a good job of focusing, but damn if I didn't clean the hell out of it!! it just took... maybe 3 times as long as usual.
the ps5 is doing better now. it turns out that the HDMI port was deformed by the incident, but if you put it in just right, it works. so Max is off the hook currently in terms of paying for the sins of his cat.
I've decided that instead of being just a place for me to put poetry, I'll use these posts for all my creative works. today, it will be drawings.

these are some doodles, mostly of a character named Fumingo. she can be gloomy and pessimistic sometimes but is unafraid to go against the grain or do things most people would balk from. she's stylish and wouldn't be caught dead in an unflattering outfit. Fumingo grew up poor with a single father. her mom was white/hispanic and her father was (why am I saying was? he's still alive...)  lightskin black. she's got two good friends and a bunch of vague acquaintances with neighbors and classmates. she's morally gray and clashes a lot with one of those good friends, who happens to be a total stickler for justice, ethics, standing up for others and all that blah blah silliness that Fumingo openly laughs at (she's more of a life-ain't fair-, ever-heard-of-natural-selection, mind-your-own-business kind of girl) . perhaps my next post will be about that friend.
