hah! yeah right!!

 I was rereading some of my writings earlier. during 2022 and a lot of 2023, I was very unhappy. it was at its worst in 2022, but even in 2023 I would write stuff in my notes app diary that got bad ridiculously quick: "I hope having more time to ourselves helps both of us. Maybe me taking action like this will inspire him to take more initiative or be more active or something. It's cold in my house. I wish I didn't exist..." like what!!! seriously!! still better than me kicking off the first entry (3/12/22) with "... I languished for 4 hours and went to bed. Anyways. I wasted today. It sucked. The end." 

  can't really say I'm any less dramatic now, but I hide it a little more thoroughly. Maybe my next entry will be about a poem addressing that! but this one... this one is going to be for Teto.

the image quality is not really great, but oh well. you can only ask so much of traditional art and 5 year old iphone cameras. that aside, teto is one of the 5 Kiotto Numen. he is, on the scale, second least magical. he corresponds with the goddess of solids. he is stubborn, loyal, suspicious, jealous. he perseveres. I have paid the second least amount of attention to him, out of all the Numen. he is pretty and he lives life as a wanderer. he can be sweet, and funny in gentle yet prickly kind of way when he gets to know someone. he will copy people who leave an impression on him but as most people don't, he tends to stick very firmly to his own traits. he wants very badly to be original and cool but doesn't feel that he manages to. 

Teto has light/medium brown skin (maybe a little darker than fumingo and less yellow tones as well) and 4b hair (coiled, but a little less stiff and shapely than the stereotypical idea of an afro, which is 4c). he wears a white skirt with beads dangling down the waistline, a legband, and a long white cloth loosely wrapped once around his torso and hanging over a shoulder. A headband around the forehead holds his hair in place. the top of the headband has three little beads/ornaments sticking up from the top. 

Teto's curse is that he cannot change. His blessing is loyalty and perseverance, his ability to stick to something. notice how with each Numen the blessing and curse are corresponding!! they are like the same thing framed differently. 

also, interesting fact: he's one of the few Numen to be in a (successful) romantic relationship. he's got a human partner named Bront'sque (pronounce it BRAWN-tssk). the name can be spelled Brontesque or Brontusque also but Bront'sque looks best to me. she's bald with huge eyelashes and pale skin and a sometimes annoying amount of cunning, sass, and sarcasm.
